S. Gardner Eastland – Houston Family Attorney
A proud Houston native, Gardner is a graduate of Episcopal High School in Bellaire (Class of 1996, with honors). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with Honors from Texas Christian University in 2000, and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2003. During his time at SMU, Gardner served as Chief Justice of the law school’s advocacy program, showcasing early leadership and a passion for trial advocacy.
Gardner also shares a long-standing professional and personal connection with Palmer Law Group leadership — he attended law school alongside firm owner Dana Palmer and Managing Attorney Daniel Bohmer, laying the foundation for the collaborative and values-driven approach that defines the firm today.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Gardner has represented hundreds of parents and children in complex family law matters throughout Houston and the state of Texas. Known for his strategic thinking and compassionate approach, he works to resolve disputes amicably when possible — but is always prepared to litigate when necessary. To date, he has tried more than fifty cases to the bench and over a dozen to juries, earning the respect of both clients and colleagues as a skilled courtroom advocate.
Gardner is licensed to practice law in Texas, Tennessee, and before the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
As a divorced father of twin boys, Gardner understands firsthand the emotional challenges that accompany family law matters. His personal experience gives him a unique perspective and deep empathy for clients navigating difficult transitions — a quality that sets him apart in the field.
